Voters in the 7th congressional District have just a few more days to decide among four Democratic primary: Incumbent Danny K. Davis, and challengers Anthony Clark, Kina Collins and Kristine Schanbacher. Early voting continues Sunday and Monday before the March 17 election.
Candidates filed to challenge incumbent Ald. Jason Ervin (28th), Chris Taliaferro (29th) and Emma Mitts (37th) in the Feb. 26h local elections.
Austin resident Brandon Johnson filed his nomination petition Monday to run against first-term Cook County Commissioner Richard Bokyin for the 1st District seat. Boykin also filed his petition on the first day candidates for the March 20 primary were able to do so.
Chicagoans may cast their votes through April 4 – or on election day.
The 37th Ward leader is serving as campaign chairwoman for Ike Carothers, one of five candidates vying to replace Commissioner Earlean Collins.
Registered voters have until 7 p.m. to vote for candidates running for local, state and national positions.
