7th congressional candidates meet for likely the last time before Tuesday’s primary

Hear likely for the last time from the candidates running for the seat that represents Austin in the U.S. House of Representatives. All four candidates – Congressman Danny Davis, and challengers Anthony Clark, Kina Collins and Kristine Schanbacher – have been invited to the March 12 forum, which will be held at 7 p.m. at 4540 W. Washington Blvd. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Produce pop-up tonight in Austin

Stop by the Westside Health Authority’s Good Neighbor Campaign meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. March 10 at 5437 W. Division. Forty Acres Fresh Market will be selling fresh produce; cash, credit card and SNAP will be accepted.

Heroin/opioid task force to meet

The West Side Heroin/Opioid Task Force will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. March 6 at Lawndale Christian Health Center, 4750 W. Ogden Ave. State Rep. La Shawn Ford chairs the task force, which will be honoring the memory of those who’ve died from a drug overdose.
