Hear likely for the last time from the candidates running for the seat that represents Austin in the U.S. House of Representatives. All four candidates – Congressman Danny Davis, and challengers Anthony Clark, Kina Collins and Kristine Schanbacher – have been invited to the March 12 forum, which will be held at 7 p.m. at 4540 W. Washington Blvd. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Chicago residents can vote at any one of 51 sites that are open from now through Monday, March 16 – the day before the Illinois primary. Voters will be casting ballots in a number of races, including president, U.S. House and Senate, Cook County state’s attorney and local judges.
Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg opened a field office in Austin at 5607 W. Division St. earlier this week. He’s one of eight Democrats seeking that party’s nomination to challenge President Donald Trump in the fall general election.
Kina Collins, a gun violence prevention and healthcare advocate, is challenging longtime Congressman Danny Davis in the 2020 election.
