Public hearings scheduled for new Chicago City Council map

Chicagoans can weigh in Wednesday at two sites.

An analysis of how Austin’s council members distributed their funds last year shows some went unused.

Michael Chandler hopes to regain his seat in Tuesday’s runoff. He wants another shot at representing South Austin and Lawndale.

The ballot has been narrowed from 18 candidates to two. The current alderman, Sharon Dixon, faces Michael Chandler, who used to represent the area.

West Side voters backed recently appointed Alds. Jason Ervin and Deborah Graham, and reelected Ald. Emma Mitts.
