Loretto Hospital offering free rapid HIV testing this month

The health and wellness event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 9 outside Uncle Gus Remus and Guilty Pleasurez Bakery, at 4731 W. Madison St.
The Chicago Department of Public Health premiered its HIV/AIDS documentary at Malcom X. College last week, on National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
Walk-in and same-day appointments are available June 25 and 28 for free HIV testing at The Loretto Hospital. Free screenings for sexually transmitted infections are taking place throughout the month of June. Schedule a screening by calling 833-TLH-LOVE.
On June 27, Walgreens and Greater Than AIDS are offering free, confidential HIV testing and counseling in three Walgreens Austin locations. No appointment is needed, and results will be available immediately on site.
Walgreens and Greater Than AIDS have partnered with community groups to provide testing and counseling from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 27 at 22 Chicago Walgreens locations, including six in the Austin area.
