Applicants will now have an extra two weeks to submit the required forms, and many positions are still available.
The Feb. 25 event drew multiple contenders and supporters ready to back their chosen candidates.
Residents are encouraged to contact state representatives in support of the bill before March 8.
Residents can go to any of the 51 locations throughout the city, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and two are offering special Sunday hours.
The Feb. 25 presentation explored how health is affected by racial identity, poverty and advertising.
At a town hall meeting Feb. 25, he and activists urged residents to spread the word about a bill that could help ex-offenders get jobs, housing and grants for college.
They say CPS left the community out of the process and the decision is not in students’ best interest.
The event, with teens from all over the city, runs through the second week of March, with Austin’s West Side Warriors competing again Friday at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Both projects are being developed by the group Austin Coming Together with help from the city and other local organizations.
The two candidates discussed their views about the position’s responsibility and addressed callers concerns about creating jobs on the West Side.
