Karen Lewis, who is considering a run for mayor, will visit the West Side Oct. 9 as part of a citywide “conversation.”
Loretto Hospital will host the event from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27.
The performance, held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Columbus Park Refectory, will feature dance, woodwinds, percussion, harp and singing.
Forum will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Friendship Baptist Church, 5200 W. Jackson Blvd.
The event, which includes a free lunch, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 25.
The golf-soccer activity will start at noon Sept. 21.
Donate coats, hats, gloves and blankets at four locations by Sept. 30. They will be given away Oct. 18.
Meet members of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and Austin African American Business Networking Association at the Ed Bailey/Leola Spann Community Garden, 5840 W. Chicago Ave. Sept. 19 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Final Explosion Team of Performing Arts is looking for sponsors and advertisers; see the group compete later this month.
