A faculty member from Columbia College Chicago has helped build out the new music studio, including finding equipment donors from Fender and Shure. It’s expected to be operationally by summer.

Vibraphonist and composer Thaddeus Tukes will perform 7 p.m. July 22 at the Columbus Park Refectory, 5701 W. Jackson Blvd. The performance is being presented by the Chicago West Community West Music Center and Night Out in the Parks.
