Farmers market at Austin Town Hall kicks off

On June 8th, the Austin Town Hall City Market at 5610 W. Lake will open for the season. The market will operate every Thursday from 1 to 6 p.m. through the end of October.
Fresh fruits and vegetables will be distributed while supplies last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 18 at the Legler Regional Library, 115 S. Pulaski Road. The next free produce market will be held April 15.
The monthly event will be held at 5051 W. Chicago Ave. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14; from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Forty Acres Fresh Market will hold its monthly produce pop up in Austin on Jan. 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; on Jan. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Jan. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The featured local chef will be Nubian Catering.
Stop by 5051 W. Chicago Av. on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a large selection of affordable fresh produce, recipe demonstrations, free samples and giveaways.
The three-day event will be held at 5051 W. Chicago Ave. Friday’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday’s hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stop by Forty Acres Fresh Market at the Boombox, 5846 W. Chicago Ave. July 1-30. Cash, credit cards and the Link card are accepted.
This is the eighth year Austin Farm will be selling low-priced, organically grown fruits and vegetables; it’s operated by PCC Community Wellness Center.
Stop by St. Paul Lutheran School’s gymnasium, 846 N. Menard Ave., from 12 to 6 p.m. Feb. 18. Free sampling from noon to 4 p.m.
