The 29th and 37th Ward candidates discussed the issues Saturday at a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
Email austintalks@gmail.com the questions you think should be posed at the upcoming 29th and 37th Ward debates.
Ald. Emma Mitts and her 37th Ward challenger, Chicago schoolteacher Tara Stamps, attended the March 11 event, as did 29th Ward candidate Chris Taliaferro and 24th Ward candidate Vetress Boyce.
The forum, set for 6:30 p.m. March 11 at 5730 W. Division St., will be held one day after the deadline to register to vote in the April 7 runoff.
There’s still time to cast your vote for Chicago City Council and mayor as well as weigh in on whether the city should have an elected school board.
Four candidates including the incumbent hope for voters’ support on Tuesday.
While three candidates appeared at the event, Ald. Emma Mitts missed Thursday night’s forum.
The longtime alderman faces three challengers in the Feb. 24 city election.
Leroy Duncan, Maretta Brown-Miller, Otis Percy and Tara Stamps are challenging Ald. Emma Mitts.
