Several unsuccessful applicants voiced concern last week at a press conference over the way officials are doling out 75 licenses across the state. Reps. La Shawn Ford and Kathleen Willis will hold another press conference about the issue Sunday.

A cannabis forum will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at 5437 W. Division. Sponsors of the event are the 15th Police District, 29th Ward Ald. Chris Taliaferro, MedMen, Westside Health Authority and the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.
Issuing tickets would allow police to focus more time on violent offenders and generate up to $7 million in revenue for the city.
