CPS is still trying to attract developers to re-purpose buildings shut in 2013.
The community continues to weigh in on the multi-million dollar project, which would use the vacant Robert Emmet Elementary School building at the corner of Central and Madison.
But some residents question whether the proposal is a “done deal” at the site of the vacant building at 5500 W. Madison St. Another meeting is planned.
Armstrong students moving in “leaps and bounds,” and the school should be removed from CPS’ potential closure list, advocates for keeping the school open say.
