Meet at Columbus Park tonight at 5:30 p.m. to do a 5K walk sponsored by the Westside Health Authority and the American Heart Association.
All are welcome at the free event, which is hosted by the Austin Weekly News and its sister publication the Wednesday Journal.
Representatives from several government agencies told West Side residents they shouldn’t feed wild animals.
Animal control officials and other experts will attend and answer questions.
The sustainability roadmap that’s been created will be updated and made public by January, said Ald. Deborah Graham.
About $3.5 million in state, city and other local funds were used to upgrade the park.
The theatre collaborated with several other groups to put on a performance at Columbus Park. The citywide series ends Sept. 7 in Humboldt Park.
More than 100 children have participated in this summer’s day camp at Columbus Park.
