Pastor hails school for getting off probation

The dinner and program starts at 2 p.m. Jan. 1. African attire is preferred.
The event, aimed at uniting the community, was put on by the Central Austin Neighborhood Association and the Third Unitarian Church.
Malcolm X College will host its 17th annual observance starting at noon Dec. 26th. All are welcome.
The Central Austin Neighborhood Association and Third Unitarian Church organized and hosted a free event last weekend.
The musicians, ages 4 to 16, played violin, cello and guitar at The Foundation for Homan Square staff party Dec. 8.
The Nov. 20 event at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School featured the Mkhonto Fellowship Choir from South Africa and Chicago musician T.L. Williams.
Latricia Walker and Collette Carter paid for last weekend’s celebration held at the Austin YMCA. They hope to have a even bigger event on New Year’s Eve.
