The shot is free with most health insurance. The clinic will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at 1140 N. Lamon Ave.
The West Side nonprofit hopes to raise $5.4 million to construct a horticenter that will include a cafe, commercial kitchen, classrooms and a sunroom.
The non-profit recently learned it will receive a $750,000 federal grant that will be used to help fund a new horticulture center on its campus at 1150 N. Lamon Ave.
The event, presented by Bethel New Life and Entrepreneurs Academy, will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 9th at 1140 N. Lamon. There will be food, music, performances, workshops and more.
This weekend, Austin residents can join a community day and restorative justice festival at Bethel New Life and La Follete Park.
The West Side organization is working with the Chicago Botanic Garden on developing the urban farm and wellness hub in the 4900 block of West Thomas and Division streets. Mildred Wiley, a longtime community leader and advocate for Austin who worked at Bethel New Life, died two years ago.
Services for Mildred Wiley, community leader and founding chairwoman of Austin Coming Together’s board of directors, will be held April 6 at Bethel New Life, 1140 N. Lamon.
All are welcome at the free event noon to 6 p.m. May 12 at 1140 N. Lamon.
