West Siders are invited 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 to Austin Town Hall to share concerns and priorities about dangerous driving behaviors as part of the city’s Vision Zero Chicago initiative.

West Side community leaders, elected officials and relatives who’ve lost loved ones rallied at the Green Line Central station Saturday before marching to Laramie and Jackson, where two men were killed earlier this month on the steps of Friendship Baptist Church.
The issue will be discussed from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at 5049 W. Harrison. The discussion is part of ongoing efforts to write a quality of life plan for the community, led by Austin Coming Together and LISC Chicago.
Robert J. Urso, PCC’s president and CEO, welcomed guests at an open house earlier this week at the Oak Park facility, and state Sen. Don Harmon made remarks.
