Young people to compete in public speaking

The fifth annual competition will be held 6 to 8 p.m. March 19 at BUILD Inc., 5100 W. Harrison St.

The free event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Austin branch of the Chicago Public Library, 5416 W. Race St.

The third annual Free Write Jail Arts & Literacy Program’s show will be held tonight from 6 to 10 p.m. at 1932 S. Halsted St.

Circle Urban Ministries will host host the event from 10:30 a.m. t0 12:30 p.m. at its Austin campus, 118 N. Central Ave.

Call now to register for the Austin Dream Makers’ spring break program.

Participants who attend all three days of next week’s program will be able to apply for work.
