There are 50 locations across the city where Chicagoans may cast their ballots before Nov. 8th. It’s not too late to register to vote either.
The last day to cast your vote is Saturday, June 4th. This is the first year West Siders have been asked to weigh in on how Ald. Chris Taliaferro will spend $700,000 in menu money.
Cook County students in grades 3 through 12 have until May 13 to submit their work.
Early voting continues through Monday, while polls on Election Day will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The non-profit, non partisan Maps coalition is sponsoring the Feb. 23rd event to improve Illinois government by making state legislators more accountable to voters.
Check with the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners to see if you’re already registered; voters will be picking their political party’s nominees for president, Congress, the Illinois Legislature and other offices.
There will also be a job resource fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 16 at Amundsen Park, 6200 W. Bloomingdale.
State lawmakers won’t see much competition this election cycle, but committeemen races could get interesting now that the Nov. 30th filing deadline has passed.
