Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School has organized a classic vehicle parade that kicks off at 11 a.m. May 23. To promote life, uplift the human spirit, champion physical safety and support mental health, Saturday’s parade is the culminating event in the high school’s unity week.
The annual, free meal will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 20 at Michele Clark High School, 5101 W. Harrison St. Mayor Lori Lightfoot will attend as will a number of other elected officials. All fathers, families and West Side stakeholders are invited.
High school seniors can start completing the Free Application for Financial Student Aid form. All seniors attending Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School are required to fill out the FAFSA, apply to at least 10 colleges and submit at least two scholarship applications.
No longer will Austin students have to leave the West Side to continue or start their IB education at the high school level. Michele Clark High School will receive $200,000 in next year’s budget to begin implementing the rigorous program offered in more than 146 countries.
