Congressman Davis, community partners, host Mother’s Day event for incarcerated moms

Congressman Danny Davis, along with community partners and the Illinois Department of Corrections, hosted the event last weekend. It’s part of Davis’ larger work on making reentry after incarceration easier for the thousands of Chicagoans who return to the city after getting out of prison.

West Side groups hiring contact tracers to fight COVID-19

Westside Health Authority, Safer Foundation and Habilitative Systems Inc. are among 31 groups receiving funding through the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, which received a $56 million grant from the Chicago Department of Public Health to oversee contact tracing efforts.
