Justice, census participation urged at Sunday’s bike ride

Participants were encouraged to complete the 2020 census, which a judge recently extended until the end of October. It can be completed online, by calling a toll-free line or by mailing back the paper questionnaire. There is no citizenship question on the census, and all information is kept confidential.

With just one month left to participate in the 2020 Census, local officials are urging every West Side resident to get counted. You can respond online at my2020census.gov or call (844) 330-2020. Billions of dollars in federal and state aid is distributed based on the once-every-decade census.

Census Bureau seeks workers

Workers are being sought to conduct the once-a-decade count of the U.S. population. You can apply online or by calling 855-JOB-2020. Positions available include clerk ($18 an hour); census field supervisor ($25 an hour); census takers ($22.50 an hour); and office operations supervisors ($23 an hour).
