Columnist John W. Fountain III, a non-traditional college student, shares his journey toward his last year in a master’s program at Loyola University Chicago.
The students will be spending nearly a year in the Bethel New Life program to help them realize and pursue their academic dreams, ending with a trip to Princeton University spring 2013.
Food, games and entertainment will be provided.
The school’s location and course offerings are expected to be announced by fall 2013.
Track E sixth-graders have until 5 p.m., March 26 to submit the application, two letters of recommendation and their most recent report card for a West Side program that will help kids prepare for college.
Applications are due by midnight Wednesday.
Students at Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School heard success stories from more than 10 business leaders.
If chosen, the West Side would receive federal funding to strengthen schools so kids can go from “cradle to college to career.”
