Santa Claus made an appearance at the annual tree lighting and parade sponsored by the Austin Chamber of Commerce.
The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5th at Madison and Cicero, and the tree lighting will be at 7:15 p.m. in front of the 15th District Police headquarters.
Members of the community gathered Dec. 6 for the eighth annual event that took them down Madison Avenue and ended in front of the 15th District Chicago Police headquarters.

The Nov. 10 event is planned for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the center, 1140 N. Lamon Ave.
The International Free and Accepted Modern Masons & OES William V. Banks Grand Lodge & Lillian Gill Grand chapters hosted the event.
