The Chicago Department of Public Health premiered its HIV/AIDS documentary at Malcom X. College last week, on National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
It’s not too late to register for Sunday’s event at Grant Park.
The official dedication Sept. 8 brought a crowd including representatives from various sponsoring businesses and organizations, state Rep. Camille Lilly and Ald. Deborah Graham.
Volunteers with the AIDS Foundation of Chicago will be at the Austin YMCA tomorrow handing out information, food and condoms.
To volunteer April 28 or 29th, contact the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.
Volunteers still needed this weekend to help create the mural that’s part of a memorial garden honoring two longtime local activists.
