Holiday breakfast set for Friday

The first 100 people to arrive MacArthur’s restaurant at 5412 W. Madison St. between 8 and 10 a.m. Dec. 22 will receive a free breakfast. Cook County Commissioner Richard Boykin is hosting the event.

Stop by holiday bazaar Saturday

The Central Austin Neighborhood Association is hosting the free event that will feature gift ideas from local artisans. There will be door prizes for the first 50 customers who make a purchase. Stop by from 2 to 6 p.m. at Third Unitarian Church, 301 N. Mayfield.

Free workshops for parents, caregivers

The next round of classes begins Nov. 28th and runs through Christmas week. Austin Childcare Providers Network is offering the training every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 5714 W. Division. To register, call now.

Come hear the blues

The Illinois Alliance presents a post-Thanksgiving karaoke event 7 p.m. Nov. 25 at 5924 W. Chicago. Saxophonist Ike Carothers will be the special guest.
