Reserve your free tickets to the May 15th ceremony, where Brandon Johnson will be sworn in as mayor along with the 50 members of the Chicago City Council. Doors open for the 10:30 a.m. inauguration two hours ahead of time; it will be held at Credit Union 1 Arena (UIC Pavilion), 525 S. Racine Ave.

The Westside Health Authority and Austin Coming Together, joined by Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Planning Department Commissioner Maurice Cox, will break ground on the new $40 million ASPIRE Center for Workforce Innovation. The first of three in-person forums will be held April 11 at the Kehrein Center for the Arts, 5628 W. Washington Blvd., and there will also be a virtual forum on April 25.
The third annual event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with people beginning to gather at 9 a.m. at 5922 W. Division St. Work will finish by 1 p.m. at 5840 W. Chicago, where there will be free food, beverages, music and more.
Attendees must register for the event, which will becheld from 12 to 2:30 p.m. April 9 at the North Austin Center, 1841 N. Laramie Ave. There will be food, games, music in addition to the 10,000-egg Easter egg hunt.
