The Chicago Department of Planning and Development is accepting applications through Jan. 31st from 33 neighborhoods in all.
37th Ward Ald. Emma Mitts and the Chicago Department of Aviation are holding the event Dec. 8th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LaFollette Park. Bring your resume.
Representatives from state agencies will be available Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 4800 W. Chicago Ave.
About 155,000 households are eligible for a rebate of up to $200 and can apply through Friday, Dec. 30th.
Monday’s push for more local, state and federal funding comes just a few days after Austin Congressman Danny K. Davis’ teenage grandson was buried. He is one of the 700-some people killed in Chicago so far this year.
Call now to reserve tickets for the Dec. 2nd event, which will include time for attendees to share their own family stories.
The performance will be 4 p.m. Nov. 19th at Westinghouse High School. Auditions will be held afterwards for those interested in joining the group.
The Nov. 18th event will be held at PCC’s birth center in Berwyn. PCC also operates the Austin Family Health Center at 5425 W. Lake St.
