The Illinois General Assembly’s Chicago Educational Facilities Task Force is holding the Dec. 1 meeting to examine whether CPS’ decisions comply with the new reform law.
The Austin Chamber of Commerce and the 15th District Police Station will host Thursday night’s event.
The price hikes outlined in the 2012 budget would pay for a family discount program, more summer youth camps and waived fees for active duty military.
The listening session, which included student demonstrations and roundtable discussions, was part of a national program to help Americans stay out of debt.
Next week’s event, at Christ the King Jesuit College Prep, will feature a basketball game and dance hosted by Resurrection alumni who attended school on the same campus.
