Bring your lamps, mixers, toasters, clocks, toys and other items to the Austin branch of the Chicago Public Library, at 5615 W. Race Ave., from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 25. There will also be people on hand to help with mending clothes.

Chicago officials will hold the second of four city-wide meetings to promote the new Invest South/West program Jan. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kehrein Center, 5608 W. Washington Blvd. The focus will be on the Austin, Humboldt Park and North Lawndale neighborhoods.
