Good Neighbors will hold the meeting at 2 p.m. July 18 at 5437 W. Division St. State Rep. La Shawn Ford will be there to discuss how those affected by the July 2 flooding can get help.
In the wake of last weekend’s torrential rain that flooded hundreds of basements on Chicago’s West Side, state Rep. La Shawn Ford is urging ComEd and People’s Gas to temporarily stop utility shutoffs of those affected by the storms and also offer assistance.
Nearly 14,000 Chicagoans living in the 60651 ZIP code have experienced water debt. Attend a free virtual session April 12th to learn about the city’s billing system and get connected to resources. The event is sponsored by WBEZ/Chicago Public Radio.
