Ald. Jason Ervin (28th) tells NBC Chicago that his first priority is cleaning up the ward to attract new businesses and, most importantly, new jobs.
About 200 people will be employed at Forman Mills Clothing Factory Warehouse.
Thousands of Cook County residents will remain in their $10-an-hour jobs through Jan. 15. Gov. Pat Quinn will tap money from the state’s tobacco settlement to keep the program going another six weeks.
