Summer meals available for CPS students starting this week

Free meals are available starting this week and running through early August at hundreds of locations across Chicago, including more than a dozen in Austin.

Free meals are available starting this week and running through early August at hundreds of locations across Chicago, including more than a dozen in Austin.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository’s food bus will be stopping at the Austin library, 5615 W. Race Ave., from 3 to 3:20 p.m. each weekday from June 25 to Aug. 31 (except July 4).
The event – sponsored by Cook County Commissioner Richard Boykin, the Park District of Forest Park and Roman Morrow – will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. May 4th at 7501 W. Harrison St. in Forest Park.
Join friends and neighbors at Assumption Church/Plato Hall, 5545 W. Harrison, Nov. 23 from 12 to 2 p.m.
All are welcome for outreach and fellowship on July 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1256 N. Waller Ave.

Community Health Focus Day will feature school physicals, immunizations and a free lunch.
Eligible students must apply by the June 11 deadline.
