Hundreds of residents are expected to gather from 6 to 7 p.m. at corners across the West Side to take a stand against violence. Every Wednesday night in June, the community comes together in fellowship and solidarity. Watch our video story.
The next vigil will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the corner of Laramie and Division.
Austin was one of 22 sites where citizens turned in guns over the weekend. Weapons can still be dropped off at the District 15 station.
