For $1, West Siders can see the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic play “Havana Blue” this Saturday. This weekend’s performance will blend African and Cuban music.
Stop by Austin Town Hall from 4:30 t 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 for another free outdoor concert featuring Larry Taylor and the Soul Blues Healers.
Larry Taylor and the Soul Blues Healers will be performing on Wednesdays at Austin Town hall starting July 27. Other performances will be Aug. 3 ,24 and 31, and Sept. 14 and 21.
Vibraphonist and composer Thaddeus Tukes will perform 7 p.m. July 22 at the Columbus Park Refectory, 5701 W. Jackson Blvd. The performance is being presented by the Chicago West Community West Music Center and Night Out in the Parks.
The Chicago Park District’s annual Shakespeare in the park comes to Austin at 6:30 p.m. July 21. Stop by Columbus Park, 500 S. Central Ave., for the free performance.
The opera “Future Perfect” will be performed June 23-26 at the Kehrein Center for the Arts. Tickets as low as $5 are available to anyone 18 and under and to adults who bring at least four children.
Musician Fernando Jones will be performing Friday, April 22 at the Kehrein Center for the Arts, 5628 W. Washingon Blvd.
