The nonprofit Ladder Up will help individuals making up to $32,000 and households earning up to $58,000 at no cost. The deadline to file state and federal taxes is April 18th.
Free, confidential help is available at locations across the city through mid-April when 2021 tax returns must be filed. Families earning up to $58,000 and individuals making up to $32,000 are eligible for this assistance. Appointments can be made online or by calling (312) 588-6900.
The city of Chicago is offering free help for qualified individuals at several sites, including Austin Town Hall, 5610 W. Lake St., on Saturdays through April 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This year, the deadline to file taxes is Monday, April 18.
