There are a number of places each week where West Side residents can get free groceries and other assistance.
The 100 Austin residents participating in the free program will get twice-monthly deliveries for another six months.
Stop by 415 S. Kilpatrick Ave from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 4. The event is sponsored by the Omega Psi Phi chapters Nu Pi, Rho Mu Mu and Rho; and Gamma Gamma.
Most days of the week, there are food pantries and other organizations offering help to West Side residents in need. Find the list here.
The North Avenue Business Association holds its eighth annual food drive.
