The company, which competes with taxis, hopes to hire 10,000 drivers living in Chicago’s West and South underserved neighborhoods.
The free 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 8 basketball skills clinic is being held at Marshall High School, 3250 W. Adams St. Youth ages 8 to 18 are welcome to participate. Registration starts at 12:15. Canned goods for a local food pantry will also be collected at the event.

The Aug. 1 service at Greater St. John Bible Church will go to the streets to launch a petition drive to ban assault weapons and pray for those killed by violence.
