The public is invited to this month’s meeting of the 15th Police District Council meeting. It will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at New Home Baptist Church, 4804 W. Polk St.
Uninsured and underinsured families living in the ZIP codes of 60651, 60644, 60624, 60623 and 60612 are eligible.
Chicago Public Schools is holding a series of back-to-school celebrations this month, including one from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m Aug. 8 at La Follette Park, 1333 N. Laramie Ave.
The free event will be held at BUILD Chicago, 5100 W. Harrison, on July 19. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
The free event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 5900-5930 W. West End Blvd. There will be art classes, games, bingo, pony rides and petting zoo and a drum circle.
The Westside Health Authority partnered with Hustle Mommies last week to bring free food, fun and laughter to the Austin Pop Court, 5257 W. Chicago Ave.
