The free event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at Plato School Hall, 5545 W. Harrison St. The dinner is being sponsored by the Assumption Greek Orthodox and Saint Martin de Porres Churches.

Back-to-school rally set for Saturday

The third annual event, put on by the Clifton P. Lewis Foundation, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 6 at the West Chicago Library branch, 4856 W. Chicago Ave. There will be food, entertainment by the Jessie White Tumblers and a school supply giveaway.

You can register online for the Sept. 22 event or on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $35 per person or $300 per team. The run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at Chicago and Mayfield avenues. Austin P.O.W.E.R of Life is sponsoring the annual event.
