Cluster Tutoring, a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides free one-to-one tutoring to more than 100 K-12 students primarily in Austin, is accepingt sign-ups for new students for the 2018-19 school year.

Parents should attend a 30-minute program on either Thursday, Aug. 23 or Thursday, Aug. 30 to learn more.

Tonight’s new student registration will be at 6:30 p.m. at Pine Avenue United Church, 5460 W. Augusta (enter through the door on Augusta); next Thursday it will be at 6:30 at First United Church of Oak Park, 848 Lake St. (enter through the entrance off the parking lot).

Parents need to attend only one session and should bring students’ MAP/NWEA test results from the 2017-2018 school year.

While students may stay in the program through high school, the program can only accept new students up to 8th grade. Priority is given for younger students and those from Austin, although students from surrounding Chicago neighborhoods also may apply.
