Speed camera in Columbus Park issuing lots of tickets

By |

The speed camera in Columbus Park has fined drivers more than $1.3 million over the last year and a half, according to DNAinfo Chicago.

That made the camera – one of three in Austin – the 9th-highest earner out of 146 cameras citywide. It was installed in December 2013, AustinTalks reported.

The other two Austin speed cameras – operating since May 2014 at 515 S. Central Ave. and 506. S. Central Ave. – brought in far less: $51,390 and $48,725, respectively.
