The third annual natural hair and fashion show – where style and pride are the stars – will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Ed Bailey/Leola Spann Community Garden, 5840 W. Chicago Ave.
The free event will feature a runway show with live DJ, special guest performers, vendors, food, raffles and giveaways.
A tw0-hour Zumba-thon – suggested donation $12 – will start at 6 p.m.
The show will feature styles and accessories by some of Chicago’s premier designers, including Jennifer Akese Koranteng, Erika and Monika Simmons (the DoubleStitch Twins), and K-Fleye Designs by Kelley Moseley.
