The Chicago Westside chapter of the NAACP has organized five candidate forums starting Saturday, Feb. 1:
State Issues Part I: This will feature candidates for the 10th District state representative seat in the Illinois General Assembly. It will be held 10 a.m. Feb. 1 at United for Better Living C.C., 4540 W. Washington.
Cook County Matters: Candidates for the Cook County 1st District commissioner post and Cook County sheriff will be featured. It will be held 1 p.m. Feb. 1 at Sankofa, 5820 W. Chicago Ave.
City Matters: This will feature candidates for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Sankofa, 5820 W. Chicago Ave.
State Issues, Part II: Candidates for the 9th District state representative seat in the Illinois General Assembly will take center stage. It will be held 10 a.m. Feb. 15 at Spirit of Truth Church, 3443 W. Harrison St.
Who’s Judging: This event will feature judicial candidates in the 7th Cook County Subcircuit and Circuit Court, and Illinois Appellate (1st District).
