Free event offers tips for teaching young children

MindBloom Preschool of Chicago will host Socratically Speaking: The Socratic Method As a Teaching Tool For Young Children Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at The John Marshall Law School, 315 S. Plymouth Court.

This event is for parents and guardians of preschool age children ages 2 to 5.

MindBloom’s director, Susan Banks, will provide a brief introduction into the Socratic Method and highlight the benefits for young children.  Information about MindBloom’s educational programs and how to enroll in MindBloom for the 2011-2012 preschool year also will be shared.

With a teacher-pupil ratio of 1:3 for 2-year-olds and 1:4 for children ages 3 to 5, MindBloom caters to children throughout the Chicagoland area and offers free pick-up and drop-off for full-time day enrolled children.
