West Side schools compete for top honors in knowledge bowl

Austin elementary students competed against other Chicago youth for awards and prizes at the 5th annual Prevention Bowl at U.S. Cellular Field last week.

Students answered trivia questions about substance abuse prevention and good health, with students from Rosa Parks School winning the top prize.

The half-day event, included  guest appearances by Ald. Emma Mitts (37th), Chicago Bears’ Khalil Bell and Lance Louis, Cincinnati Bengals player Victor Adeyanju and hip-hop artists GLC and Never from Crucial Conflict.
