Austin residents wanting to vote in next month’s presidential primary need to register to vote by Feb. 16.
Chicago voters can still vote in the March 15th primary if they miss that deadline. Here’s how:
Option 1: From Feb. 17 through March 14, voters may register and vote in person at the Chicago Election Board using the “grace period” system. During this time, voters must register in person – and then immediately vote during that same visit, OR
Option 2: From Feb. 29 through March 14, voters may register and vote in person at any early voting location in the city using the “grace period” system. Sites and hours will soon be available here. Voters must register in person – and then immediately vote during that same visit.
Democratic and Republican voters will be selecting their nominee for president, the U.S. Senate, state comptroller, U.S. House of Representatives, the Illinois House and Senate, the Cook County State’s Attorney, local judges, convention delegates and local committeemen. Here’s the unofficial Democratic ballot.
