The Chicago Sustainability Leaders Network, a network of community-based sustainability organizations, is organizing an event on Saturday focused on building connections between the young and old.
This event – held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 4 in Austin – will include presentations and mini-workshops to share strategies to foster intergenerational dialogue and connection.
Activities will start at Root Riot Harambee Garden, 500 N. Waller Ave., and additional presentations will take place at GlennArt Farm, 5749 W. Midway Park, and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 5710 W. Midway Park.
Barrelhouse Bonni and The Bronzeville Alliance also helped organize Saturday’s event. The event is free, and snacks will be provided. Please RSVP at bit.ly/nourishunity.
