Early voting begins today, Columbus Day, at these three Chicago locations:
*Chicago Board of Elections, at 69 W. Washington St. (lower level conference room), from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Starting Oct. 12, this site will be all all weekdays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays, from9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
*The 22nd District Chicago Police Department building, 1900 W. Monterey Ave., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
*Welles Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All other Chicago early voting sites will open Tuesday, Oct. 12 (see list below).
Chicago residents who want to cast their votes before election day (Nov. 2) may visit any of the 54 sites, regardless of where they live. Early voting ends Thursday, Oct. 28.
Voters don’t need a reason or excuse to vote early, but they must present a government-issued photo identification. After casting an early ballot, voters may not return to amend, change or undo a ballot for any reason, as ballots cast in early voting are final.
