The Ballot: Runoff edition — Live with Brandon Johnson and Laura Washington

By |

Following the enthusiastic response to our one-on-one interviews with mayoral candidates ahead of the general election, political analyst Laura Washington is teaming up with Block Club Chicago for two more in-depth fireside chats — this time, live and in person.

“The Ballot: Live with Laura Washington — Runoff Edition” will consist of two separate, hour-long chats with candidates Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson and former CPS CEO Paul Vallas before the April 4th runoff.

The first conversation, with Washington and Johnson, kicks off Wednesday, March 15 at Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport St. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and the conversation will begin at 4:30. The date and time for the Vallas conversation will be announced in coming days.

This event is free, but you must RSVP if you want to attend in person. The conversation will also be available online, but you must register a virtual RSVP to receive a direct link via email when the stream goes live.

A recording will be available immediately after the event at blockclubchi.co/the-ballot, and the audio will be available on The Ballot Podcast, available on Apple and Spotify. Attendees (in-person and virtual) are invited to submit a question for the candidate in advance when they RSVP.
