Dozens of customers poured into the Subway shop at Lake Street and Pulaski Road last weekend to show support for the black-owned franchise – and for black-owned businesses throughout the West Side.
AustinTalks recently featured the sandwich shop, which Kevin and Deirdre Cunningham opened in November 2013.
Last Saturday’s event was a follow-up to the Austin African American Business Networking Association’s three-day business summit held earlier this month at Sankofa that drew nearly 300 pe0ple, according to our partners at the Austin Weekly News.
AAABNA and other groups are planning sales drives for other West Side businesses.
